The Village of Glenview purchases its municipal drinking water from the Village of Wilmette. Wilmette draws raw water from Lake Michigan and treats it at the Wilmette Water Plant before the finished water is supplied to Glenview. For 2025 lead and copper sampling, the report lists a lead 90th-percentile result of 12 ppb, below the 15 ppb action level, with five sampled sites above the action level. Copper's 90th-percentile result was 0.12 ppm, below the 1.3 ppm action level, with no sampled sites above the action level. The report records no lead or copper violation. An action level is not the same as an MCL; it is a concentration that can trigger treatment or other regulatory requirements when the applicable system-wide criteria are exceeded.
